Folkloric Carabiner Skirt
All carabiner skirt belts are adjustable, with four belt notches you can use to adjust to your desired fit.
The recommended waist size in the chart below corresponds to the fit of the belt when worn on the third-tightest notch.
The belt size range indicates the minimum and maximum fit across the four notches. Measurements are taken from the top edge of the belt, its narrowest point from which it widens to fit the body comfortably.

Skirts come in a range of colours, prints, and materials.
Folkloric skirts: folkloric style skirts use repurposed textiles from Bulgaria, individually sourced from villages across the country. Typically made of wool, they are former aprons (a traditional style of Bulgarian dress) and tapestries, meticulously hand-crafted by local women within the past one-hundred years. These unique textiles are then seamed together, hand-pleated, and transformed into patchwork skirts that carry folkloric tradition and history.
Taffeta skirts: taffeta is a lightweight fabric with crisp pleats that sway with you. Taffeta skirts are full of movement and, as the most popular carabiner skirt fabric, you will find taffeta options in a wide variety of patterns, colours, and lengths.
Cotton skirts: cotton skirts include classic pleated tartan styles and also unpleated, gathered styles made with broderie anglaise fabric or folkloric textiles.

The leather used for carabiner skirt belts is 100% overstock leather. Using reclaimed materials ensures minimal waste and embraces natural imperfections in the leather that add character to each piece.
Belts come in a range of styles and vary in colour, width, buckles, and embellishments.
AW24 Carabiner Skirts
Carabiner skirts are available in three lengths: mini, knee and midi. Minis hit above the knee, knee skirts fall just below the knee, and midi-length skirts hit above the ankle.

Along the top of the skirt, an elastic is threaded through the fabric. An adjustable toggle is hidden inside the skirt that can be used to tighten or loosen the elastic to support the skirt.
Due to the special nature of folkloric carabiner skirts, some of these styles include a dust bag for storage and safekeeping. Dust bags are made using fabric offcuts from past collections, which helps eliminate textile waste while providing a way to protect your skirt so it lasts a lifetime.
To use the dust bag, clip your skirt to a hanger using the spare carabiners included with every carabiner skirt. Then, slip the dust bag over the skirt, allowing the hanger to extend through the opening at the top of the dust bag.
